Wind Symphony Period 4
This is our other auditioned group. Students who are very studious
but not quite ready for Wind Ensemble are selected for this ensemble. The
auditions are done at the conclusion of the Spring semester the year before
and placement into Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony are posted at the end of
the semester. Only remaining openings are auditioned at the beginning of the
Fall semester. This ensemble meets once a day during the regular school schedule.
The Wind Symphony participates in the Winter and Spring concert as well as
attending both district and regional SCSBOA festivals. The Wind Symphony is
used as a stepping stone to the Wind Ensemble, but the students must re-audition
for all ensembles each year.
