These classes are unique because Westlake High School is the only high school in the District to offer Orchestras at this time. The Orchestra Class was started in the Fall of 1998 with three students. The 2008 school year looks to have over 60 talented students enrolled in the Orchestra classes. All three orchestras will perform at all concerts and Spring Festivals.

Symphony Orchestra

Having had their debut performance in the spring semester 2005, Westlake High School is the first high school in the district to offer a full symphony orchestra. This group is comprised of string players from the Chamber Orchestra and selected wind players by invitation. Both Mrs. Blake and Mr. Peter direct this ensemble, which will be performing at a district festival, all-district strings festival, and spring concert.
