Geoff Christopherson Visual Instructor

Geoff has returned to our staff as a visual instructor this year but has taken on instructing our drum majors in field conducting and mace baton as well as technical consulting for the Regiments front ensemble and soloist sound reinforcement.

Geoff has a degree in Electrical Engineering and a minor in music recording from the University of Southern California and has performed in the US and Europe with many musical groups including Livermore High School, University of Southern California Trojan Marching Band and The Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps organization. Most of his experience with the Blue Devils was as a Baritone player in the horn line (BDB 1994, BDA 1995, 1996*, 1998). His last year in the organization in 1999* was as Drum Major where he received the prestigious Director’s Award. (* Championship year)

His current employment as an acoustics engineer for JBL Professional and experience with the Blue Devils gives him the rare combination of technical knowledge and activity experience to make the right choices for the front ensemble sound system. He is also an acoustic consultant and a private instructor for drum majors in Southern California.
