The Westlake Regiment is our Marching Band. The Regiment is open to anyone who wishes to participate, but it is not a requirement to be in the Westlake High School Instrumental Music Department. It is, however, a requirement to be enrolled in another ensemble in addition to the Regiment. The Regiment meets three afternoons and one evening a week, with occasional extra rehearsals on Saturdays. The Regiment is the most visible part of the Instrumental Music Department and in addition to performing at field tournaments, the Regiment also performs at rallies and all home football games (and many away games). We have a very unique relationship with the administration and athletic program at Westlake High School. There is a mutual respect for how hard everyone works and we are very supportive of one another.

For the 2008 season, we are performing a show entitled “Running”

Under the direction of Brian Peter and his instructional staff, the Westlake Regiment has been known for very interesting, engaging, and innovative productions. This year's production will be no exception!
Previous themes have included Les Miserables (1998), Imagination—The Music of Sesame Street (1999), Manhattan Rhapsody (2000), West Side Story (2001), The Godfather Trilogy—30th Anniversary Musical Celebration (2002), An American Elegy (2003), We Are Not Alone (2004), Amore e' Destino - Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet (2005), A New Beginning (2006), and Frequency (2007)
