Information regarding Honor Groups can be found below. Please observe application deadlines

California Orchestra Directors Association Honor Orchestra (CODA/CMEA)

  • CODA - December 7-8 in Redlands; application deadline is October 8, 2007
  • CMEA - March 13-15, 2008 in Sacramento, CA; application deadline is December 1, 2007

California Band Directors Association State Honor Band

  • Checklist for all students
  • Application - you must fill it out online. Handwritten applications will be tossed
  • February 21-24 in Fresno
  • Concert Bands and Jazz Band
  • Concert Band - recorded audition, live audition for chairs, sight reading
  • Jazz Band - acceptance and chair based solely on recorded audition
  • We can send up to 20 CDs. If more than 20 are submitted we will decide who we will send
  • All fees, CDs and applications (with all signatures) are due to Mr. Gangemi by NOON on Tuesday November 27, 2007 - NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
  • If you want help making your CD, please see Mr. Gangemi to schedule a recording appointment
  • Don't forget the Submission Agreement

Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association Honor Band/Orchestra

  • All major scales required
  • Band and Orchestra Requirements and Dates
  • Band and Orchestra Application - deadline has passed
  • Jazz Requirements, Dates, and Application - deadline has passed

Ventura County Honor Band
