The Orchestra Class was started in the Fall of 1998 with three students. The 2011-2012 school year looks to have almost 90 talented students enrolled in the Orchestra classes. All three string orchestras will perform at all concerts and Spring Festivals.

Symphony Orchestra I and II
Having had their debut performance in the spring semester 2005, Westlake High School is the first high school in the district to offer a full symphony orchestra. This group is comprised of string players from the Chamber Orchestra and selected wind players by invitation. Mrs. Blake, Mr. Peter, and Mr. Gangemi all direct these ensembles, which will be performing throughout the year.
